The marriage ceremony of Amanda Virginia Tilley and Peyton
Scott Wilmer took place at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at
The Irvine Estate in Lexington, VA.
Amanda is the daughter of Michael and Lisa Tilley and the
granddaughter of the late Leonard and Cheryl Jennelle, George and
Arleta Tilley, along with her special great aunt, Sharon Matherly.
Peyton is the son of Scott and Dana Wilmer and the grandson of
Margaret Wilmer and the late David Wilmer as well as the late
Clarence 鈥淛r.鈥 and Wanda Humphries.
The Godbrother of the bride, Cody Sexton, officiated the ceremony.
Amanda鈥檚 sister, Alexa Wilson, served as matron of honor along
with the bride鈥檚 twin, Amelia Pelfrey. The bridesmaids were
Callie Henry, Logan Williams, Carolyn Olortegui, and Alex
Caron-Dieckhaus.
Flower girls attending the bride were her nieces, Miriam and
Charlotte Wilson.
Chase Caldwell served as best man. The groom was attended by
Tyler Wilmer, Nathan Pelfrey, Cameron Kornegay, Julian Perez,
and Matthew Dieckhaus.
The bride wore an A-line tulle dress designed by All Who Wander
Bridals, which featured leaf motif lace and crystalline beading on
the bodice and train. She was escorted by her father and given into
marriage by both her parents.
A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom鈥檚 parents at the Irvine
Estate. The reception was hosted by the bride鈥檚 parents and held at

The couple is honeymooning in Majorca, Spain, appreciating
a generous gift from the groom鈥檚 beloved grandmother. The
newlyweds reside in Washington, D.C., where Peyton works
for the U.S. House of Representatives and Amanda works as a
research scientist and laboratory supervisor for The Center for
Cancer and Blood Disorders in Bethesda, MD.
