It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Deborah Gray who gained her angel wings on Monday, May 5, 2025.
She was a loving and compassionate soul who touched countless lives with her warmth and kindness. She loved children and had an uncanny ability and incredibly unique way with them. Deborah leaves behind a legacy of love, a support forever remembered for her unwavering spirit and the joy she bought for family and friends. She was a devoted mother, sister, Nana and aunt.
Deborah worked for over 40 years at Vinton Day Care and at the Bedford Walmart and has many coworkers and associates missing her there, as well.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Jerline Divers.
She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Gray; grandchildren, Jessie Gray (Tearanye), Heath and Kolie Gray, and Riley Hall; great-grandchildren, Braxlee and Olson Gray; brother, Michael Divers (Jeanette); sisters, Peggy Dickerson and Sherry Fox; nieces and nephews, Jay Divers (Lynn), Brian Divers (Rebecca), Corey Divers (Lindsey), Lisa Sexton (Jason), Amy Church (Mike), Todd Dickerson, Brandy Thompson (Nathan), Valerie LaPradd (Josh), and Lee Bradley (Sierra); numerous great-nieces and nephews; and special fur babies, Leo and LeAnna.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at Oakey's Vinton Chapel. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 16, 2025, at Oakey's Vinton Chapel with Pastor Jack Richards officiating. Burial will follow in Diamond Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
