Linda Dillon Gowl, of Columbus, Ohio went to her heavenly home on June 29, 2025. She was born to Carl Everett and Beulah Pearson Dillon, on May 13, 1947, in 色多多, Virginia.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Martha Brinkley. She is survived by her husband Roger Gowl, sons Preston and Philip, brother William "Ebbie" Dillon (Loretta), sisters Patricia Coffey and Kathy Shepherd (Mike), sister-in-law Phyllis Mitchell (Ray), and lots of nieces, nephews and special friends.
Linda attended Hollins Road Church of the Brethren until age 9. Her family then moved to Ghent Grace Brethren Church (the Jesus Saves church) until moving to Ohio. She attended Eastside Grace Brethren Church in Columbus.
Linda met the love of her life, Roger, at Ghent. They wed on June 26, 1965, and had just marked their 60th anniversary at the time of her death. In 1980, Roger was transferred with AEP and they moved to North Canton, Ohio, and later to Gahanna, before finally moving to Columbus.
Linda loved Jesus, family and friends. Her desire was to go to her eternal home and for all to be able to join her there. Her entire life was about serving the Lord and others.
A Memorial Service will be held at Hollins Road Church of the Brethren, 2404 Hollins Road NE, 色多多, Virginia on Wednesday July 2nd at 3:00 p.m. The interment will be private at Mifflin Township Cemetery in Columbus.
