The VHSL has postponed all wrestling, swim and dive and gymnastics events that were rescheduled to Saturday due to travel concerns and venue availability associated with snow and ice resulting from the storm.

鈥淲e understand the uncertainty of schedule adjustments for all involved, but safety is our top priority,鈥� VHSL Executive Director Billy Haun said in a statement. 鈥淥ur goal is to provide all our athletes and schools with an opportunity to compete in a state competition. As much as we value those opportunities, we will not put participants or those families and school communities attending the championships at risk.鈥�

Class 1-3 state wrestling at the Salem Civic Center has been pushed to Sunday, while Class 4-6 won鈥檛 be held until March 1 at a location to be announced. The girls open is still slated for Feb. 26-27.

The swim and dive championships for both Class 3 and Class 4 at Christiansburg Aquatic Center will be held Sunday, while Class 1-2 will be held Monday in Richmond. Class 5-6 swim will take place Sunday, while both diving events will take place Monday.
