Virginia Credit Union on Wednesday announced plans to open a branch office in downtown Blacksburg in early 2026.
The credit union recently purchased 200 North Main St., a former bank branch, and will renovate the building to include a 3,700-square-foot branch and 2,700-square-foot community room. It also will have a drive-thru ATM and two walk-up ATMs.

Salem apartment complex sold
A 72-unit Salem apartment complex built in 1972 has been sold for $8.91 million, according to Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer's.
The View at 777, located at 777 色多多 Blvd. in Salem was purchased by View 777 Salem LLC from Caroline Forest LLC in a deal that closed May 29 at a corresponding purchase price of $123,750 per unit.
The View at 777 was built in Salem in 1972 and has new owners after it sold for $8.91 million May 29.
