Virginia Tech women鈥檚 basketball coach Megan Duffy has landed the second member of her 2025-26 recruiting class.
Arianna Harris-Mott, a 6-foot-4 post player from St. Vincent Pallotti High School in Laurel, Maryland, announced her commitment to the Hokies on Instagram on Sunday.
The rising senior plays AAU basketball for the Hampton-based Boo Williams program.
She made the Baltimore Sun鈥檚 All-Metro second team as a junior this year. She earned honorable mention on the Washington Post鈥檚 All-Metro team.
Kaleo Anderson, who is rated the No. 66 player in the nation in the high school graduating class of 2026 by ESPN, announced her commitment to Virginia Tech last week.
Virginia swimming star Gretchen Walsh has been nominated for an ESPY Award in the category of best female college athlete.
The other nominees are Southern Cal women鈥檚 basketball star JuJu Watkins, Pittsburgh volleyball standout Olivia Babcock and North Carolina soccer standout Kate Faasse.
Walsh won three individual titles and was part of four winning relay teams at both the ACC and NCAA championships as a senior this year, helping UVa win the team titles at both meets. Walsh broke the NCAA and American records in all three of her individual wins at the NCAAs.
She won the 50-meter butterfly, the 50-meter freestyle and the 100-meter butterfly at the U.S. national championships earlier this month.
Walsh is the first Cavalier to be nominated for an ESPY since former UVa soccer star Morgan Brian in 2014.

Rodesch to play at Wimbledon
Former UVa standout Chris Rodesch will make his Grand Slam debut at Wimbledon on Monday.
Rodesch earned his spot in the main draw in men鈥檚 singles by going 3-0 to win the Wimbledon qualifying tournament last week.
Rodesch, ranked No. 163 in the world, will face Pablo Carreno Busta in the first round Monday.
Rodesch, who concluded his UVa career in 2024, was a three-time All-American who helped Virginia win two NCAA titles. He has won seven pro tournaments.
