Out of four constitutional offices up for election in 色多多 this November, three races are uncontested.
Voters will decide between three candidates for sheriff, while the ballots for treasurer, commonwealth鈥檚 attorney, and commissioner of the revenue will show one choice each.
Democrat Sheriff Antonio Hash faces a Republican challenger in James Creasy, as well as independent candidate Lee Hill. All three candidates for sheriff are 色多多 natives, and each has years of experience in local law enforcement.
Hash, the Democrat, seeks reelection to a second term of four years. Before winning election in 2021, he served 13 years as a deputy in the sheriff鈥檚 office, states.

Creasy, the Republican, is a sergeant with 24 years of service in the sheriff鈥檚 office. lists reform, retention, restoration, protection and community integration as priorities.

The independent candidate, Hill, ran for the post as a Democrat in 2021, losing the nomination to Hash by about 500 votes, results show. Hill retired in 2020 as an assistant commander in the sheriff鈥檚 office, after 25 years of service, said.

For the election of other local offices in 色多多, there鈥檚 less competition. The filing deadline to be listed on ballots as a candidate was Tuesday, although some people could potentially run write-in campaigns.
Democratic incumbent Ryan LaFountain is seeking reelection to a second four-year term as commissioner of the revenue. The office deals with tax assessment and processing, business licensing and assisting residents with tax-related matters.

Also unopposed is Democrat John McNeil Jr. for commonwealth鈥檚 attorney, according to filing information provided by the city registrar鈥檚 office.

McNeil is running to replace longtime independent Don Caldwell, who is ready to retire from the post after more than 40 years as an elected official.
McNeil has served 25 years in the commonwealth鈥檚 attorney鈥檚 office, according to a resume posted online. The office deals with prosecution of misdemeanor and felony cases on behalf of the city and state, a city website said.
Similarly to McNeil, the lone candidate running for treasurer seeks to replace another longtime city official. Tasha Burkett, a Democrat, has worked in the treasurer鈥檚 office for 21 years under Evelyn Powers, who retired from the post and is now on the city council.

The treasurer鈥檚 office collects delinquent taxes, administers taxes and runs tax sales. The treasurer also serves four-year terms.
As of Thursday, Election Day is 139 days away, on Nov. 5.
