Abby Teubert struck out 12 batters as Glenvar beat James River 3-1 in Three Rivers District softball action Monday.
Teubert also hit five singles and drove in a run for the Highlanders (14-6), while Zella Hayes picked up an RBI and run and Audrey Moles tacked on a run.
Makenna Saville pitched a complete game for the Knights (10-6), while Sydnee Breeding scored the lone run on an RBI single from Cloey Joynes.
Patrick Henry-GS 13, Rural Retreat 11
The Indians cut down an eight-run deficit but were eliminated in the first round of the Hogoheegee District tournament.
Kailey Davidson and Reagan Evans homered for Rural Retreat (10-9), while Maggie Hale collected three RBIs and Kynlee Lilly scattered three hits.

Smith struck out eight for Magna Vista (11-10) and also hit a two-run home run and two doubles at the plate. Faith Fuller went 4-for-4 with five RBIs and Kenzie Newcomb added two RBIs and two runs.
Bassett fell to 1-14 on the season.

Aubreigh Large collected three RBIs as the Cougars blasted the Wildcats.
Journey Moore and Lacey Sutphin added two RBIs apiece for Patrick County (15-4).

Jaylen Frazier added two runs, Tyler Martin picked up three RBIs and Ethan Lee tacked on two RBIs and a run for Magna Vista (19-4).

Rural Retreat 14, Holston 4
Jay Snavely went 3-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs as the Indians routed the Cavaliers in the first round of the Hogoheegee District tournament.
Eli Poole and Gradyn Gibson drove in two runs apiece for Rural Retreat (9-9), while Trever Shelton struck out six in 5 1/3 innings on the mound.
